A very Nicobar abode

For summer, we’re taking your homes on a journey south-west to Bentota—the next stop in our Sri Lanka chapter. A coastal paradise, rich with coral reefs, blue lagoons and tropical wonder, our collection also drifts into a rich milieu of vibrant prints, bright hues, and graphic elements. Bursting with tropical bounty, our tableware features hand-painted flora and fauna on pleasing, glazed stoneware—our much-loved elephants, banana leaves, and palm trees done fresh and making a regular appearance across pieces.

In our print library you’ll also find Sri Lankan demons, gods and the Sinhalese script offering a stylised take on local culture and mythology splashed across our kulhars, plates, thalis and mugs. And in a very Nicobar nod to the Indian kitchen, you’ll discover a wood and brass roti box (our real star for the season) and gleaming copper in all-purpose serveware and water tumblers. A play on light and shade, our colour palette shifts between soft greys and ivories and bright yellows on beautiful cottons and plush cushions. Recurring motifs like the moon, star and elephant all connect to island living. Batik-reminiscent tigers prowl amidst palm fronds and are interspersed with honey frangipani.

A modern pastiche, the Nicobar home comes alive with verdant, island grandeur this season.
