When it comes to home decor I am a renegade discoverer. Nothing fills me with as much joy as coming across a fabulous lampshade or a fantastic piece of furniture from a source that not many know of. From beautiful chopping boards to ergonomic furniture tailored for small spaces; from cutesy cutlery to heart melting fabric -- I am a sucker for finds and this year has been exceptionally good for me, thanks to a few brilliant Indian brands that are bringing in beautiful products keeping with global home decor trends within our reach (sans the pocket blasting shipping).

Take a look at these 10 home decor finds from Indian brands that your space will thank you for and if you are into home decor like me, it'll whet your appetite quite right! Once you have seen them, you'll need them immediately.

1. This lamp with banana fibre detailing by Olie

"Cycle in My Window" is its name and how can one not love such a thing? When it comes to inspired prints and extending the same to various lights and home accents, no one can spin magic quite like Olie. Check out their lovely line of cushions, lamps, runners, accessories and more that are cute, whimsical and outright brilliant.

2. This sea-life- inspired rug by Rugberry

This hand tufted rug totally takes my fancy. Throw in a shabby chair, a minimal setting, and you have a winner. I can also see it with a maximalist setting with gold, delftware and a touch of fuchsia, if you please! There are choices of colours too, with my second favourite being the one in indigo.

3. These funky cushions by Chumbak

Now, here's a brand I moon and lust over and I am forever browsing their site with my cup of tea in hand to see what's new. Their trendy, quirky designs and bursts of colour remind me of Anthropologie -- and oh, trust me I'd sweep Anthro's floor if they give me a chance.

4. These modern, geometric hurricanes by Nicobar

I'm crushing over these geometric, brass-accented hurricanes that are just perfect for a centre/coffee table. They fit in with a range of styles, from beach house to modern urban chic.

5. This sweet-sailing quilt from Safomasi

Charming little boats sail around the estuary on the front and a ferry flag bunting-inspired print adorns the reverse: this quilt can put an end to any kind of gloom. Throw it over your favourite chair or sofa and create a relaxing nook that nudges you to put your feet up!

6. This sofa from Urban Ladder that redefines the concept of perfect

So what is a perfect sofa? Who defines what's perfect if it's not perfect for you? What I absolutely adored in Urban Ladder's Apollo Infinity is the attention to individuality. The devil is in the details (which this sofa practically masters with a plethora of choices) but heaven is your kind of perfect. You could choose from 20 shades, decide it's dimensions, decide the number of seats, matching ottoman (or even just ottoman) and also the fabric and finish (whether fabric or leatherette). So here's a sofa you can really call yours.

7. Beautiful chopping boards by Berachah Chizels

This Chennai-based group of crafters are getting their rustic on with beautiful, handcrafted chopping and serving boards and I literally drooled over their work (proof is on the keyboard). Check out their teak, peacock wood, mahogany boards in beautiful shapes and rustic finishes. Find them here.

8. This hairpin-legged coffee table by Iqrup + Ritz

Again, a brand I keep my eyes glued on -- Iqrup + Ritz are pioneers in bringing classic shapes from different periods, styles and international influences and moulding them for contemporary living. Check out their four poster beds, cushions and seats for a dose of wow.

9. Adorable and practical accents from Choppingboard

In a nutshell, these creations will change the way you store and serve. Ceramic bottle stoppers, beautiful vintage-inspired recycled bottles, galvanized tin storage containers, wooden salt and pepper shakers, chopping boards of various shapes and sizes and a whole lot more await you here.

10. Irresistible table mats and wall plates from Cyahi

Cyahi makes me believe in love at first sight. I was on a hunt for some sweet quarter plates and boy, have I found them! Their porcelain plates are so pretty, you can hang them up! Also have a look at their tablemats, accessories, home improvement tidbits and more. If you love floral, vintagey prints, you'll be addicted in no time.
